It was 29 Novemeber, 1987. A young boy was celebrating his 14th birthday with his family, only to learn he has a surprise guest. It prove to be the turning point of his life, when he signed that application form. The guest was non-other than Sir Alex Ferguson.
4 years later, he scored his first goal for Manchester United. The goal, was against Manchester City.
The Premier League was born on 1992, and since that day, the Welsh boy never looked back when it comes to scoring goals. Magnificent goals. A great goalscorer and also a scorer of great goals.
A quote from Manchester United legend, Steve Bruce.
"...When Ryan ran, he ran like the wind. You couldn't hear him he was that light on his feet. He had that natural body swerve, that way with a ball only the great players have got. No disrespect to [David] Beckham and Scholesy, but he's the only one who was always going to be a superstar."
Then the infamous quote from the manager himself, Sir Alex Ferguson.
"I remember the first time I saw him. He was 13 and he floated across the ground like a cocker spaniel chasing a piece of silver paper in the wind."
On that famous day of 21st May 2008, he broke Sir Bobby Charlton's record of most appearance in the Red's shirt. To make the most of that historic day, he helped the Red Devils to clinch their 3rd Champions League title, 10 years after the historic 2-1 victory in Barcelona, 1999.
Day after day past, he now has make 840 appearances and scored 156 goals through his career until today. The Welsh Wizard also made a record of scoring in each and every Premier League season since the inclusion on 1992.
19 seasons and running, the name Ryan Giggs is synonym to what Manchester United is today. Legendary...
